Whilst working in architecture, I was sometimes tasked with creating organic objects that were designed to stand out from the linear hard surface/straight edges environments they were standing in. This could either be planting, cushions or various types of artwork, however this sculpture was something that I decided to take an extra bit of time on. I originally got this model as a very rough, very low poly OBJ which had been imported into 3DS Max. The original piece was not only very shoddy, but also had plenty of rough topology and geometry issues which made the skin and fur look spiky in places where it needed to be smooth.
To fix this, i resculpted the muscle mass of which sat on top of this rough skeleton, before adding details to the face, nose, eyelids and fur to produce this final model. This was roughly completed within an hour 25 to 2 hours.
The final model was then added to an environment render before being rendered and Photoshopped into a final image.
